FAQ

Commercial pest monitoring questions

How much does commercial pest monitoring cost in Toronto?

RID monitoring programs start from $79/month (CAD, before HST) for small, low-risk premises. Restaurants, multi-zone buildings and residential properties typically start at higher tiers. Final pricing follows a site assessment.

What is included in the $79 monitoring program?

RID Essential includes one scheduled monitoring visit per month, up to four designated monitoring points, a basic pest-activity inspection, sanitation and structural risk observations, a dated digital service report and corrective-action recommendations. It suits small, low-risk premises up to about 1,000 sq ft.

Are pest treatments included in monthly monitoring?

No. Monthly plans cover monitoring, inspection and documentation. Treatments and other corrective services are quoted and approved separately when needed, unless your specific agreement explicitly includes them.

Is there a one-time setup fee?

Yes. Paid program onboarding begins after you accept a RID agreement and covers approved setup such as mapping, documentation, account activation and service preparation. Onboarding starts from $79 and varies by tier.

How often does a technician visit?

Standard plans include one scheduled monitoring visit per month. Additional visits can be added and are priced separately by scope.

Can RID service restaurants and food stores?

Yes. Food premises usually start at RID Standard or RID Professional because kitchens, storage and waste areas need defined pest-risk zone inspections.

Do you provide monitoring for apartment buildings and condominiums?

Yes. Residential buildings are scoped by units, common areas, service rooms and waste facilities. In-unit treatments are not included in monitoring plans and are quoted separately.

Can monitoring equipment be added later?

Yes. Additional monitoring points may be added at a provisional $6 per point per month when they fit within the scheduled visit; devices and consumables may be charged separately.

What happens if pest activity is discovered?

RID documents the finding, location and conditions, then recommends a response. Corrective work is scoped and priced, and proceeds only after your approval.

Can I change my monthly monitoring program?

Yes. Programs can be reviewed and adjusted as your property, risk profile or monitoring needs change.

Do you offer service across the GTA?

RID serves commercial and multi-residential properties in Toronto and across the Greater Toronto Area.

Can multiple properties be managed under one agreement?

Yes. RID Enterprise offers portfolio options with consolidated reporting across multiple properties.

Will I receive written inspection reports?

Yes. Every plan includes a dated digital service report documenting what was inspected, what was found and what was recommended.

Can RID review my current pest-control program?

Yes. A Free Pest Risk Assessment includes a preliminary review of your current program, pest concerns and suitability for RID monitoring.
